Power alliance changed in Nepal, Prachanda and Oli joined hands again

Nepal's ruling coalition finally broke down. Breaking the almost one year old alliance with Nepali Congress, Prime Minister Prachanda announced a new alliance with the main opposition party KP Oli. Amidst the tussle between the ruling coalition that has been going on for the last few days, Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda has decided on a new power equation in a meeting with opposition party leaders late last night. In this equation, CPN-ML, Rashtriya Swatantra Party and Janata Samajwadi Party are participants under the leadership of Maoists. After the formation of the new equation, the meeting of the old alliance called this morning was cancelled. After that the meeting of the new alliance was held this morning. Along with the announcement of the new equation, Prachanda has described this step as an important step towards polarization of left parties in the country and left unity. NCP MLA President KP Sharma Oli has also informed about the swearing in of new ministers after the formation of the new alliance. He said that in the changed situation it has been decided to forge an alliance with the Maoists.
